Frequently Asked Questions
Since garden rooms are classed as outbuildings, the vast majority fall under permitted development and won't need planning permission at all. Whether that applies to your project comes down to your local council or authority, though they are normally approved up to 2.4 to 2.5 metres high. We'll always talk you through what we know and point you in the right direction.
Garden rooms start from £15,000, priced at £1,500 per square metre. Final price depends on the size of the room and your intended use, get in touch with your garden size and we'll provide an initial quote.
Most builds take between 2 and 4 weeks from start to finish. The exact timeframe depends on a few things such as weather conditions, how easy the site is to access, and the specifics of the build itself. Therefore, we'll give you a realistic timeline for your particular project before work begins, rather than a generic promise.

Yes. Every build comes with a tailored payment schedule that runs across the length of the project rather than one lump sum upfront. Payments are staged alongside progress on-site, so you're paying as work is actually completed. We agree on a specific schedule with you before the build starts, so there are no surprises partway through.
We use one of three foundation types, chosen based on your garden's ground conditions, site access, and budget: concrete block pad foundations, ground screws, or a concrete base. We assess your specific site during the consultation and recommend whichever option gives the most solid, long-lasting base for your build, not a single default option applied regardless of the garden.
